JOB DESCRIPTION Position Summary Project manager/Business Development Engineer provides leadership, coordination, and optimization of heavy civil construction and mining services with special expertise in reclamation, remediation, and environmental projects. Bids, plans, monitors, and leads projects from initiation through completion. Secures required resources and uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes. Leads projects to ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs. Manages and directs the work of project teams. Has overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, risks, internal staffing and outside vendors, and contractual deliverable. Project management will typically include specification review and analysis, submittals, obtaining quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, quality assurance, project supervision, take offs and budgets, cost-coding of invoices, preparing project job cost estimates. Leads projects that are complex in nature and guides the work of subordinates. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Ensures that project milestones are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority over personnel actions for his/her assigned projects. Supervisor Responsibilities This position will have direct supervisory responsibilities over other employees. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepares estimates for reclamation, remediation, pre-stripping, environmental and related projects. Prepares and negotiates proposals associated with federal, provincial/state, local, and commercial requests for proposals (RFPs), participate in Go/No Go decisions and support determination of win strategies. Serves as primary point of contact for clients on large commercial and government contracts. Provide for the administration of contractors providing construction services, materials, or equipment for the project. Obtain customer's acceptance of the work and document all turnover activities. Responsible for the preparation and submission of the final project report and prompt close-out of the prime contract. Responsible for managing, coordinating, and administering any of the following major and complex projects, i.e., major projects involving several organizations and simultaneous management of several projects. Coordination and management of subcontracts. Preparation of submittals. Preparing project cost estimates by obtaining price quotes from material suppliers and subcontractors, organizing quotes. Conduct and review performance appraisals of assigned personnel in accordance with approved procedures Participate in weekly regional and/or management meetings and providing operational summaries for assigned projects. Responsible for adhering to company policies and communicating policies to employees assigned on applicable projects. Ensuring assigned projects and staff members are following best practices and safety protocols developed by the Risk Management Office. Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Civil, Mining Engineering or related field with an emphasis in Project Management. 10
years of experience in project management, estimating or assisting in estimating construction projects, and proposal preparation. Experience managing design-bid-build construction projects with contract values greater than $5 million. Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities Licenses, Registration, and Certifications Registered Licensed Professional Engineer. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is strongly desired. Skills/Competencies Firm understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques and experience applying these. Problem solving, data-driven decision making, critical thinking, creative thinking, systems thinking. Extremely organized, disciplined, and committed to meeting deadlines. Committed to continuous self-development in the field of project management. Ability to coach and inspire team members to give their best effort and set the direction for projects. Strong Communication & Presentation Skills (makes complex issues accessible to the business audience, clear, concise, and audience-appropriate). Highly analytical and experienced with project coordination Problem-solving skills to foresee obstacles and make strategic decisions. Experience leading multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient with the use of computer and software applications including Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience in process mapping. Ability to manage resources both directly and via matrix management. Ability to manage large project teams.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Construction & Real Estate, Civil EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
